Call to make a reservation to take your group through history with one of our tour guides. This is a great venue for corporate outings, clubs, vacation packages, field trips, foreign tourists or fundraising events.
The tour can be customized to fit your particular needs. If you need conference facilities, a catered dinner, BBQ, hiking, or carriage rides we can assist you in modifying the tour to help you make those changes, or arrangements for your group.

The Heidrick Ag History Center will introduce visitors to the mechanical genius that has become synonymous with today’s farm fresh movement. Want to set your eyes on some of the most beautiful and rare machines ever created? Take a moment to hear the sounds of steam and early gas engines at interactive kiosks. The Fred Heidrick Collection is set against blacksmith, barn, and farm backdrops that explain what it must have been like to produce food before today’s advancements. This tour will focus on wheat and other small grain production that historians refer to as California’s Gold in the late 1800’s. You’ll see early combines (harvesters) and learn why “horse power” trumped the hand held sickle for getting food to the market.

From the motorcycles, farmers used to get through fields and dusty roads, to the trolley used to take livestock sellers from the train station to hotels, the Heidrick Ag History Center puts visitors in touch with their agricultural heritage.
